Yeah, well life blindsided me, again. I'll be back soon to continue with the stuff I learned from the Octet. Sorry, again.

I've been a fan of the UC Men's Octet since November of 2008, and have operated this fan page since May 2009. That's almost a year since the site was birthed. I've learned a lot of Octet-ish things since then. I was going to make a list of 8 things in keeping with the Octo-theme. However, I believe I have learned more than 8 things. Then I was going to make up a list of 10. I think I've learned even more than 10 things! So, let's see how much I've learned - this should be interesting...or not. So, in no particular order of importance: Since becoming an Octo-Fan I have learned that... BASS is pronounced like this... Not this. Thanks to those who corrected me before I made too big a fool of myself.
Keep checking for updates. They will happen fairly often. ...and I'm fairly confident that I can now name all then 2010 Octet-dudes. Anyone want to quiz me? It took me a while to know all the 2002-03 Octet, so...It's not them. It's me.
Speaking from someone who has trolled the Octet's comment board, this is nowhere near the only marriage request for Jason or the other Octo-dudes. Not even close. Hahaha. Also, the gobears236 smile reminds me a lot of Oski. I hope maggie is misspelling Berkeley on purpose, or she ain't gettin' in. This exchange happened right after Jason had agreed to be interviewed for the site. I'm so glad he didn't make an excuse after viewing this...I probably would have. My personal take on the Shout video:
1.) Loved that they still had lots of energy for the last song of the night! 2.) Fake-out beginning, and the Octet acting confused. 3.) I'm pretty miffed at the big-headed guy in front of Jason's dad who covered up Jordan's shoo-be-doo-wah.... :P 4.) Jerome is the best penguin ever. 5. Jordan's "Woo's" at the end of the song is super-groovy. I was sipping a cup of my French Press coffee, and I thought, "you know what would be a good idea? A coffee table book about the Octet." I'm envisioning four color (that's print-speak for "full color"). Lots of archival pictures. Introduce the members. A discography. Awesome. Yep. Maybe have a cd or two of their show-stoppers included in the book. It could be sold in the student store. It might cost a fortune. I probably couldn't afford it, but it would be awesome.
Super quick post today, just because of the transition. Yay, the quarter has ended. I'm not very confident about my grades this quarter, becuause I had a lot of absences. (Being sick and my friend passing away...it added up) Fingers crossed that I can at least get a passing grade. I don't need A's. C's will be just fine. So, below is a video of the current Octet from the Spring Show. She Bangs. It's so hilarious! I know I've got a few more Oldtet videos to get throught (not many, which is probably why I'm not getting to them. Stupid procrastination). Anyway, I admire these guys because their choreo is so smooth! And they have really gelled together as a solid group. I think they can make it to the ICCA finals...btw, semifinals are tomorrow, I think. Good luck Octet. You can do it! (Yes, you can!) I was looking through my flair on Facebook, and I found stuff that were either Octet or Octet-ish flair. Cool, no? It's pretty late. I came home with a migraine at about 4, fell asleep until nine, and have been UP ever since. Let Spring Break begin!
What could be better than a gaggle of OctoDudes? A gaggle of OctoDudes with Jason and Jordan in the middle. Nice. I love these guys. Same song with a better seat and probably a tripod.
